In brief

  • Leadership that comes from within, rather than from a job title or position
  • Understanding your role and impact within the bigger picture
  • Providing direction through collaboration and connection
  • A modern approach to leadership: shared, human, and practical

What?

Leadership is changing.
Today, it is no longer just about position, power, or hierarchy, but about influence, collaboration, and purpose.

In this training, participants explore what leadership looks like today, and what that means in practical terms in the workplace. We examine a central question: how do you take initiative, provide direction, and influence others… even without formal power?

Participants gain insight into their own role within the bigger picture: where they naturally demonstrate leadership, how they influence others, and how they can increase their impact within their team.

We also address a key tension in today’s organisations: the balance between clarity and connection. How do you continue to provide direction and engage people without relying on hierarchy, and without compromising clarity?

Contents:

  • Understanding what shared leadership is and why it is relevant today
  • Becoming aware of your own role and impact within the team
  • Taking the lead with or without formal authority
  • Exerting influence through connection and collaboration
  • Combining clarity with trust
  • Dealing with resistance and tension when addressing issues
  • Creating meaning and getting others on board

Why?

Traditional leadership models are increasingly reaching their limits.

Teams are becoming more autonomous, expectations are changing, and new generations are seeking purpose, engagement, and influence. At the same time, managers and employees often find it challenging to address one another openly or to provide clear direction.

This training helps to better understand and make this tension workable:

  • not by returning to control
  • but by moving forward towards shared leadership, where people take responsibility from their own roles

while contributing to the bigger picture.

Banzai!

After this training:

  • You will be aware of your role and influence within a team
  • You will understand how leadership works without formal authority
  • You will be able to provide direction through connection and collaboration
  • You will have the tools to communicate clearly while fostering connection
  • You will gain a fresh, contemporary perspective on leadership
