The Safety Culture Ladder is a standard and assessment method for measuring safety awareness and consciously safe behaviour (culture & behaviour) in companies. The emphasis is on the safety culture. The SCL recognises 5 steps, based on the culture ladder of Hudson & Parker. In terms of content, this standard contains a description of how a company experiences this aspect in various business aspects for each step. This allows you to determine which step your company operates at.
At Samurai at Work, we consider the Safety Culture Ladder® to be the ultimate tool for improving safety culture. We believe that focusing on behaviour, not on systems, makes all the difference. When procedures and figures are secondary to practical actions, people are more likely to cooperate in making improvements. Genuine cooperation leads to a safer world.
That is why we work closely with clients, contractors, professional organisations and certification bodies. As a catalyst for a safety culture, we bring everyone together, each with their own approach, but with the same goal: to create a safe working environment.
With an enthusiastic team of experts and as a knowledge partner of NEN (Royal Netherlands Standardization Institute), we guide and support the development and implementation of the Safety Culture Ladder ®.
Our focus is on guiding companies as well as training all possible stakeholders, i.e. from auditors (internal or external) to change managers.
