PSA Breakbulk has once again chosen to collaborate with Samurai at Work to organise a Safety Day around the theme ‘Shared vigilance’. In an environment where logistical flows, heavy loads, and human–machine interaction come together, this shared focus on safety is both a conscious and valuable choice.
During our recent Safety Day, ‘Shared vigilance’, we invited the dockworkers of PSA Breakbulk Antwerp to reflect on the risks in their daily working environment.
In a warm, comfortable setting, they first reflected on personal experiences with accidents. These stories — sometimes heavy, sometimes surprisingly open — strengthened their awareness of risks.
We then analysed pictures from their own work context. Once again, these still images proved to be a powerful tool for sparking interpretations, insights and discussions. The dynamics differed from group to group, but the level of engagement was consistently high.
