What?

In Lost in Translation, participants discover how (language) differences can have a major impact on safety, cooperation, and efficiency in the workplace.

We start with real experiences and situations that everyone can relate to: miscommunication, incorrect assumptions, and instructions that are not quite clear enough.

Using simple tools - universal basic words, nonverbal gestures, pictograms, and "check-back" techniques - we learn how to give clear instructions, even when language is a barrier.

Participants experience for themselves how quickly things can go wrong, but more importantly, how you can prevent it.

Why?

Language differences are a daily reality. More and more teams are multilingual and multicultural, which offers advantages but also presents challenges:

  • What appears to be "unwillingness" is often simply "misunderstanding".
  • A small miscommunication can lead to dangerous situations.
  • Clear communication increases safety, productivity, and well-being.

Banzai!

After this workshop, your employees will have useful insights and concrete tools to communicate more clearly with colleagues who speak other languages.
