What?

Safety only becomes truly tangible when you experience it yourself. In this workshop, participants actively engage with an interactive digital wall. Through a series of short challenges, they test their focus, reaction speed, coordination, teamwork and alertness.

Participants complete exercises both under normal conditions and in scenarios where a limitation or safety risk is simulated. Examples include reduced visibility, limited manual dexterity, fatigue and distraction. By comparing the results, it becomes clear how much performance is lost when protection, attention or focus is lacking.

The workshop is playful and energetic while delivering a clear safety message: small choices can have a big impact. After the challenges, we facilitate a brief Samurai debrief, drawing parallels with familiar workplace situations and highlighting practical safety lessons.

Why?

Because safety is not just about knowing the rules — it is above all about making conscious decisions in the moment.

In practice, we often see that people are aware of the risks, but do not always truly feel their consequences. PPE can be perceived as a nuisance. Distractions seem harmless. Fatigue is underestimated. And unsafe behaviour is not always addressed.

This workshop brings these realities into sharp focus. Participants experience firsthand what happens when their vision, reaction speed, coordination or concentration is impaired. This creates recognition, stimulates discussion and strengthens safety awareness.

How?

The ‘Safety Wall’ helps to:

  • make safety an approachable topic for discussion;
  • actively engage participants rather than having them listen passively;
  • demonstrate the impact of PPE and alertness;
  • strengthen team reflexes and shared vigilance;
  • take the first step towards addressing unsafe behaviour.

In this way, safety stops being an abstract concept and becomes an experience that truly resonates.

In short

  • Learn through play, experience and short challenges
  • Focus on PPE, alertness, distractions and safe behaviour
  • Make the impact of unsafe behaviour visible

Banzai!

After this workshop, you will better understand how quickly focus, reflexes and coordination can be affected. You will experience firsthand why PPE, alertness and looking out for one another matter. You will leave with practical insights that help you act more safely — not because you have to, but because you have felt the difference it makes.
